The NCHL is sad to report that it has lost one of its original members: Luz Preciado has passed away at the age of 68.
Along with his wife Gail, Luz was instrumental in the growth of the League in its early years, and actively participated as Board Member and Coach. His legacy includes support of traveling youth hockey teams, and two of the Preciado’s sons have played, coached and refereed for the NCHL. His obituary in the Half Moon Bay Review can be found here (URL: http://www.hmbreview.com/obituaries/luz-esteban-preciado/article_3e595ee0-e33f-11e6-8fc8-4bbf1534d804.html). In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to local charities.

This weekend is the last weekend of fall hockey. There will be an open practice tonight at 5:30pm, and the final games are on Sunday – Small Kids 11-12:30pm, Big Kids 12:30-2pm. Hope you can make it for the last hurrah!

The fun is getting closer! On Saturday, November 16 at 4:30pm your North Coast Hockey League has reserved the ice at the Cow Palace for a broomball game! We will have a broomball game with tennis shoes on for anyone who wants to play – adults and kids. Slip around on the ice in your tennis shoes while you try and hit a ball with a broom-like stick to score! Everyone is welcome so invite all your friends. And bring a coat – it’s cold on the ice!

After our broomball game we have reserved seats at the SF Bulls game at 7:15pm.

$12.50/person covers both activities. We have around 50 people coming right now, so it should be a great game!! More are welcome – for more information contact info.

Get your game on.
